Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Higher Education, Libraries & Archives and Information Mr. Kamran Bangash chaired a meeting of UNIFORM BILL / ACT for all Private Sector Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa drafted by Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA).
Secretary Higher Education Department Mr. Dawood Khan, Deputy Secretary (Universities) HED Mr. Nadeem Akhtar and other officials from HED were also present in the meeting. Officials from HERA Secretary Sajid Inam and System Analyst Siddique Dawar presented the draft Bill. A comprehensive discussion on the Uniform ACT took place and Special Assistant to CM for Higher Education and Information Mr. Kamran Bangash has issued valuable guidelines to further streamline the Uniform ACT and is keen to approve the bill from KP CM Cabinet and then pass the Bill from KP Assembly as soon as possible.

Meeting was headed by Special Assistant to CM KP and a detailed presentation is delivered to him on the functions and regulations of HERA by Secretary HERA along other officials. Achievements made in the last 2 years and the special Initiatives taken by HERA this year are also shared with him.
As part of Quality Assurance, teams of all Deputy Commissioners are carrying out inspection and assessment of different private sector institutions against the pre-defined target values.
Data against the prescribed norms / standards is being collected and necessary measures will be taken to uplift the standard of higher education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in accordance with the yardsticks and rules / regulations.
