Launching Ceremony of MoU between HERA and NACTA

The Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) and National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here at Governor House to counter extremism among youth at higher education institutions.

Addressing the function, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman termed the MoU very encouraging and said “We have to protect our youth from menaces of extremism and drugs through a comprehensive strategy.”

He noted that war psychology was implemented in our region in a very systematic manner and later it was converted into terrorism.” adding “we have overcome extremism and terrorism in accordance with our traditions and culture, now we have to protect the youth from indulging these activities against especially drug addiction.”

HERA New Office Inauguration

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Higher Education, Archives & Libraries and Information Mr. Kamran Bangash today inaugurated the new office building of Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) in Hayatabad, Peshawar.

Chairman HERA, Dr. Amber Ali Khan briefed the Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Higher Education Regulatory Authority.

Inspection of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences Institutions

As a quality assurance drive, a Review Committee of Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, comprising of Members / Representatives of HERA-KP, Khyber Medical University, Pakistan Nursing Council and Institute of Health Professions Education and Research, is carrying out a comprehensive inspection of all registered private sector Nursing and Allied Health Sciences colleges / institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

NACTA inks Accord with HERA

The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) and the Higher Education Regularity Authority (HERA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for having effective collaboration on prevention and awareness to combat extremism in Private Educational Institutes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The MoU was signed by Chairman Dr. Amber Ali Khan, HERA and Member (Policy) Asif Saif ullah Paracha, NACTA.

The scope of the MoU is to establish a sustained and effective collaboration and partnership in the areas combating violent extremism in Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including the newly merged Districts (NMDs).

Both the organizations will consolidate existing research work in the areas of counter-extremism, which will help in promoting research culture in the public/Private sector as well as improving the policy-making process.

Private University Uniform ACT 2020 and Charters of 4 New Private Universities

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Higher Education, Archives & Libraries and Information Mr. Kamran Bangash chaired a meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Private Universities Uniform ACT 2020 drafted by Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA) and Charters of 4 New Private Universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chairman HERA-KP, Dr. Amber Ali Khan presented the Private Universities Uniform ACT 2020 (Draft) and the Charters of Rehman (General) University, Northwest University of Health Sciences, Prime (General) University and NUMS University.
